How Much Space Does a Round Dining Table Need?

Allow approximately 36 inches between the tabletop edge and nearby walls or furniture as a planning guide. Leave additional room where people regularly walk behind occupied chairs.

For example, a 48-inch round table with 36 inches of clearance on each side needs an unobstructed area of approximately 120 × 120 inches. Include sideboards, kitchen islands and other furniture when measuring.

Can a round dining table seat eight people?

An eight-person arrangement needs careful planning around chair width, place settings and the base. If you regularly seat eight adults, contact us to discuss a suitable diameter and design. Do not assume that every 60-inch table will comfortably accommodate eight of your chosen chairs.

Are dining chairs included with the table?

Does a walnut-coloured finish mean the table is made from walnut?

The wood species and finish are separate details. For example, the Dorel beech model is made from solid beech and offers Black, Natural and Walnut finishes. Choose a model specifically described as solid walnut if you want walnut wood itself.
